yoka

yoka was born in hamburg in 1975 and came up as a dj in the rap and britcore scenes of the early 1990s, working with two technics mk2 turntables. in the summer of 1995 he arrived at his first goa party by chance — ending up at voov instead of a drum & bass festival — and described the experience as a point of no return. psytrance became his primary focus from that point, though his longstanding orientation toward bass eventually led goa music to take a back seat.
