yaya is a french hip-hop emcee who began rapping in 1988 at the age of 14. he performed live for the first time in february 1989, and in 1992 he toured france, switzerland, and italy. a meeting with dj kurser led to a 1995 concert with schkoonk!, and their ongoing collaboration produced the release "mal en point" / "que quelqu'un m'explique."
