the flexican

the flexican is a dj and record producer born october 11, 1983 in mexico city to a mexican father and a dutch mother, who relocated to amsterdam in 1992 and settled in the buitenveldert neighborhood. in 2004 he co-founded the group flinke namen alongside sef, later joined by mc fit and murth the man-o-script. he released his first mixtape, "op volle toeren", in 2008, and in 2013 co-produced the hit single "watch out for this (bumaye)" with major lazer and fs green, featuring jamaican dancehall artist busy signal. his stage name references both his mexican heritage and the eclectic, flexible nature of his work.
