sub focus

sub focus is a british drum and bass producer from london, signed to ram records. he was discovered after a friend passed his demo cd to ram records label boss andy c, leading to his first release "down the drain" in 2003 on ram's sister label frequency recordings. his 12" "x-ray" on ram records became one of the biggest drum and bass tracks of 2005, and he subsequently remixed the prodigy's "smack my bitch up" for their greatest hits package "their law: the singles collection 1990-2005". his self-titled debut album appeared a year later than its originally planned 2008 release, and a second full-length album, torus, followed in 2013.
