starsplash is a hands up act formed by dutch producer ramon rollfs (also known as charly lownoise, one half of charly lownoise & mental theo) and german producer frank fritze (franky tunes), who also releases solo work on aqualoop records and operates the project topmodelz. the duo started in 2001 with a new version of the charly lownoise & mental theo 1994 happy hardcore track "wonderfull days" and released a string of singles and albums before pausing in 2004. they returned in 2007 with a reworked version of their earlier cover of foreigner's "cold as ice", featuring vocals by alex avenell.
