smalltown djs emerged from the mid-2000s online community around diplo's hollerboard site and have since played shows internationally, including at fabric in london, u-hall in dc, and venues in paris, helsinki, brooklyn, and los angeles, as well as a one-year residency in las vegas and sean white's gold medal party at the olympics in vancouver. their production project smalltown romeo yielded a collaboration with shad called "boom ha" that appeared in the hbo series "girls" and the film "the sitter". releases have appeared on labels including fool's gold, main course, sol selectas, and no brainer, and their music has been played by a-trak, diplo, toddla t, annie mac, and others.
