slynk

slynk was born in 1986 and grew up teaching himself music production before receiving his first set of decks in 2004, which sparked a dedicated interest in vinyl. based in brisbane, australia, he secured his first residency in 2006 at a local new york-style underground café, where he performed weekly for close to two years. by april 2008 he had signed with local dj agencies, and within a year had grown from a bedroom producer to one of australia's more prominent funky breaks djs and producers, playing interstate and overseas. during that period he received support from artists including a skillz of fingerlickin', fort knox five, freddy fresh, craig charles of bbc 6music, and dj moneyshot of solidsteel.
