simone is a gospel and soul vocalist based in new jersey, best known for "my family depends on me", her debut release on strictly rhythm. she portrayed sarah vaughan in the historical stage production mama, i want to sing! during a european tour spanning 42 shows across 30 cities. as a member of the metro mass choir of new york city under the direction of david brown, she was a featured singer for the united nations world hunger campaign. she has also performed as a featured vocalist with the acapella group chapter 2, opened for yolanda adams and richard smallwood, and appeared on the apollo theater stage.
