shidapu

shidapu was a goa trance group formed in israel in the mid-1990s by erez and roy from the haifa suburbs, miki from the tel-aviv area, and oren from zikhron ya'akov, who initially connected online and exchanged tracks made with impulse tracker. by late 1995 some members had formed a pc-music group called trip, producing trance, ambient, and house in formats such as s3m, it, and xm, before the four came together under the shidapu name. their tracks spread through the israeli party scene, with pieces like astral child, vertigo, and paradise becoming popular, and a breakthrough came after avi nissim of astral projection heard their work.
