plastik funk is the stage name of spanish dj and producer rafael ximenez-carrillo, based in germany. he has used the name as his primary artist alias since april 2018, following the departure of japanese dj mikio gruschinske, who stepped back from touring due to serious health problems. the project had previously operated as a duo before continuing under ximenez-carrillo alone.
