operentzia

operentzia was founded in 2005 in the eastern hungarian city of nyiregyhaza, taking its name from imagined hungarian folktales. the group released a debut album in 2008, followed by "one week" in 2009 and "mr. hat" in 2010. from 2011 onward they collaborated with performers from the freak fusion cabaret, an association that produced the single "freak circus combo." their 2015 album "trance ober enz" drew inspiration from a collection of siberian folktales, blending the tonal qualities of folk songs with elements of dub, chill, and trance music.
