oak tales

oak tales is mihail solakov, a dj from skopje, macedonia. he first encountered psychedelic trance at gatherings around skopje in 2005 and, after travelling to european festivals, was drawn to forest psy, playing it for the first time at home in 2013. he joined the forestdelic records family in 2016 and released his debut, nautilus, in 2018. rather than committing to a single style, he reads the energy of the crowd and balances scandinavian deep and abstract sounds with groovier, more dynamic tunes, and in 2021 collaborated with dj giuseppe of parvati records on a second album.
