nyx began making music at age 14 using impulse tracker and later modplug tracker before turning to hardware equipment. after several years with hardware he kept only a roland alpha juno 2 and from 2000 onwards worked primarily with propellerheads reason. he began taking production more seriously in early 2002, and after sending out his first demo in early 2003 received an encouraging response. his first released track, time to begin, appeared in mid-2003 on hardcore blasters' dirty bastards #2 compilation.
