ntogn

ntogn is an electro-acoustic project founded by michel (born 1988, sweden), who also founded hypnus records and holds a degree in sound design. after spending roughly three years immersed in literature on history, philosophy, occultism, and fairy tales, he began developing the project in 2013 using field recordings and vocal samples. resident advisor's william lynch described the output as "fierce, artistic techno that sounds like little else out there," a characterisation that sits alongside darker ambient work elsewhere in the discography. the project draws on hypnotic deep techno as a foundational reference while maintaining a strongly individual aesthetic.
