kollektiv turmstrasse was founded in 1999 in wismar, germany, by nico plagemann and christian hilscher, who named the project after the street where they were both living at the time. the duo later relocated to hamburg. christian hilscher departed in 2021, after which kollektiv turmstrasse became a solo project under nico plagemann.
