jeremy sylvester is a uk garage and house producer, remixer, and dj from birmingham, uk, regarded as both influential and prolific in the genre. he is founder and managing director of two labels and built up an extensive catalogue of remixes alongside his solo work, regularly collaborating with established dance producers. before focusing on mid-tempo dance music, he was involved in jungle and drum n bass production in the early 1990s. his father was a member of a successful disco band in the late 1970s, and sylvester's own career began in earnest in the mid-1990s when he started producing tracks for fx promotions (nice 'n' ripe) under numerous aliases.
