grew up in windsor, ontario hearing house and techno across the border from detroit. after relocating to london in 2000, she worked at record shops including phonica before launching the jackathon parties in 2009, which became a platform to host peers and collaborators globally. she has hosted a bbc radio 1 residency since 2008 and founded the jackathon jams label, emphasizing engagement with crowds and creating memorable dancefloor moments over technical proficiency.
