four tet is the solo electronic project of keiran hebden, whose first release was the 36-minute single 'thirtysixtwentyfive' on trevor jackson's output recordings label in 1998. the debut full-length album 'dialogue' combined hip-hop drum lines with dissonant jazz samples. alongside his own recordings, hebden has produced remixes for artists including aphex twin, anti-pop consortium, bonobo, beth orton, born ruffians, explosions in the sky, super furry animals, radiohead, and manic street preachers.
