floorplan is a father-and-daughter dj and production duo from detroit, michigan. the project pairs robert hood, born in 1965 and a founding figure of detroit techno, with his daughter lyric hood, who joined as a collaborator in 2016. together they combine robert hood's long-established background in techno and house with lyric hood's vocal and creative contributions, and the duo is known for releases that incorporate gospel-inspired elements alongside house and techno.
