emel

emel is a dutch acid, tekno, and drum n bass dj and producer who began dj-ing in the mid-1990s as part of the 4 acid eyes only soundsystem, with his first notable appearance at a queensday rave in het duitsche huis, utrecht in 1996. alongside sam c and b-art2, he co-founded dosis decibel records and the dosisdb soundsystem in 2002, bringing a blend of breakbeats and tekno to the underground scene. his productions have appeared on labels including neurotrope, azt3k, acid night, future frequencies, violent cases, and his own imprint koncept kore, founded in 2012. he was previously known briefly as dj mackie and works across mental hybrid techno-acid core, breaks, ambient soundscapes, and hardcore tek crossovers.
