dj marcelle, also known as mc moerock, began as a rapper in west philadelphia during hip-hop's early rise. he started out working with dj jazzy jeff as part of a group called the network crew. his studio work and record-making over time led him toward disc jockeying, and he has been djing for approximately 20 years. he remains based in the philadelphia area and draws on his mc background in his mixtape and club work.
