dj bone is a detroit-based dj and producer whose formative experience came at the music institute, where he encountered detroit techno firsthand. the influence of broadcasters electrifyin' mojo and the wizard, alongside the city's industrial environment, shaped his approach to music. he began his dj career with weekly sets at the love club, also known as the shelter, and over time built a following that led to residencies at four of detroit's top clubs. his record labels, subject detroit and encounter, serve as outlets for his productions.
