da capo

da capo was a psychedelic rock band from fürth, germany, active in the early 1970s and inspired by the late 1960s us west coast scene. the founding lineup was peter treiber on guitar and vocals, peter wiesner on bass and vocals, and gerhard lorenz on drums, later joined by peter stanek on guitar and vocals; jens deichmann replaced lorenz on drums before being succeeded by alfred urban in early 1971. their first performance was on 6 january 1970, and in late december 1971 they recorded their sole album in two days at cpm-studio in erlangen using a 2-track process; the lp was pressed in 500 copies and issued in 1972 on their own california label.
