authentic is a japanese beatmaker born in 1979 in chiba who formed the group goaf in 2000 alongside classmate normsong. he connected with dreadnots in 2002 through the amateur hip-hop underground, and went on to release the cassette ep kill the germs ep in 2003 and the album patchwork landscape in 2004. his work spans independent hip-hop and has attracted beat requests from american and european artists, including mcs on independent labels.
