atacama

atacama was a chilean-swedish folk music group active during the 1970s that released three albums. the founding lineup included carlos beyris, carlos morales, juan alvarez, and francisco roca, with the group's membership shifting over its run to include elias salazar, thierry carabin, christer schapiro, gaston villaman, and joaquin perez. their recordings include atacama (1970), arriba quemando el sol (1971), and musica de los andes (1978).
