astrix is an israeli psy-trance project founded in 1997 by avi shmailov and amir afargan, who records as kintaro. the project initially produced music in the nitzhonot style. after amir afargan's departure, avi shmailov shifted toward full on psy-trance, where he became one of the leading figures in that style.
