DESCRIPTION:capitol hill block party is a three-day outdoor music and arts festival held annually on the pike/pine corridor of seattle's capitol hill neighborhood, now in its 28th year. produced by daydream state, it occupies the streets of one of seattle's densest cultural districts and draws across indie, pop, and electronic genres. the event is 21+.\n\nfounded in 1997 as a single-stage DIY block party by jen gapay, it expanded in the early 2000s under new organizers and has grown into one of the pacific northwest's longest-running summer festivals. beyond the music stages, programming extends into cal anderson park with activities including yoga and a skate competition.
