magikana is a non-commercial, fully licensed open-air psy festival rooted in grassroots origins going back to 2002, making it one of the longest-running conscious psy gatherings in the british isles. it runs for five days across a mountain valley site in the cambrian mountains of mid-wales, a location the festival has called home since 2012. the current run of annual editions began in 2024, with 2026 marking the third consecutive year.

two main stages anchor the music programme: the wizard's pyramid covers uptempo psy, and the dragon's grove handles downtempo and midtempo. the full spectrum runs from forest and darkpsy through fullon, progressive, twilight, psydub, and world music, with 72-plus hours of non-stop sound across the five days. the remote rural setting allows unrestricted bass levels and continuous overnight programming, something most uk festivals cannot offer.
