DESCRIPTION:earthdance cape town is the local chapter of the global earthdance network, a coordinated series of simultaneous gatherings held worldwide that share a central ceremony: the prayer for peace, which takes place at the same moment across all participating events. this edition is held at a mountain farm site roughly 150 km outside the city, accessible via a dirt road, with a river and dam on the grounds and solar power running the festival.\n\nthe main stage runs 48 hours of continuous psychedelic trance, while a second tent covers downtempo and chillout, and a heart space tent offers healing sessions and massage. alongside the dancefloor programming, the event includes conscious dance sessions, an animal movement workshop, a ceremonial fire space, food and craft vendors, and rave safe harm reduction support.
