union of freaks is an outdoor festival held at a wooded private site outside mafra, with shaded camping under trees, a food court, showers, compost toilets, two market areas, and parking for cars and caravans. the sound system is a turbosound floodlight pa, and visual art across the site comes from mimesis psychedelic art.

the programming centres on acid, goatrance, oldschool, and suomi styles, placing it firmly in the classic and retro-leaning end of the psytrance spectrum.
