earthdance with pgp

earthdance is a global simultaneous gathering that has been connecting participants across continents through music and shared ritual for 29 years, with local editions happening in the same time window worldwide. the central moment of each edition is a synchronized prayer for peace at a set hour, when all earthdance parties around the world align. this utrecht edition is organized by psychedelic grateful punks (pgp), an underground collective rooted in the dutch psychedelic scene since the mid-2000s, shaped by a background of squat parties and generator-powered forest nights.

earthdance was previously hosted in the netherlands by collectives including trance orient express and namaste, but large-scale dutch editions went quiet after 2012. pgp is reviving the format at an indoor venue in utrecht, framing it as a continuation of that diy, community-centered lineage.
