ultra japan is the tokyo edition of the ultra worldwide festival brand, running since 2014 and now in its tenth year. the event occupies a purpose-built outdoor site on the odaiba waterfront, with the bay as a backdrop.
the festival runs across two days and presents the large-scale, main-room electronic sound that ultra is known for globally, alongside a resistance strand that covers the harder underground end of techno and house. the format follows the international ultra template: multiple stages, high production values, and a crowd drawn from both the local dance music community and international attendees.
