one of the oldest continuously running psytrance festivals in the world, voov experience traces its origins to 1992 and has been held at its current open-air site in the rural stretch between hamburg and berlin since 2001. the current organizing team has run the event since 2014. it draws between ten and twenty thousand attendees and runs across multiple sound stages with camping on site.

the production is built around elaborate stage decoration, laser shows, land art, and large-scale mapping installations, with dedicated crews handling each element. a chill-out area and a separate zone called "unser wunderland" round out the site. healing workshops and markets have been part of the format for many years. voov is widely credited with helping spread psytrance across europe and holds a significant place in the history of the global psytrance scene.
