a midsummer goa and psytrance party running from afternoon through sunrise, held aboard an 80-metre two-deck club yacht moored at a long pier. the vessel carries a funktion one sound system installed and tuned by its inventor, tony andrews. alongside the psytrance programming, dubwars and related acts cover alternative sounds on the night. past editions of the goa sun series have sold out before doors, and the format here runs continuously until at least the early morning hours.
the yacht sits anchored beside a former coal-loading station that the organizers have developed into an outdoor creative zone, referred to as psystreet, with sculptures, uv-lit art installations, stages, and market stalls. the setting puts the dancefloor directly facing a river, so the sunrise lands across the water as the night closes out.
