bassmania xxl is a large-scale indoor multi-venue festival that has been running for over 14 years, billed as the biggest indoor festival in the north rhine-westphalia region. it takes place across four established clubs on a compound known as the raw-style cultural site am hawerkamp, with more than 11 floors spread between indoor rooms, outdoor areas, chillout spaces, and bars, all within walking distance of each other.

the programming spans a wide range of electronic genres including psytrance, hardtechno, gabber, tekno, trance, techno, bouncy house, and raw, with each floor dedicated to its own sound. the multi-club format means attendees can move between very different rooms and crowds within minutes, all on a single site regardless of weather.
