nexen is a small open-air festival in its fourth edition, organised by dystopsy elements, a french collective working across psychedelic arts, stage design, mapping, and string art. capped at 500 people and set on a rural site roughly half an hour outside angers, it runs across a full weekend with 48 hours of continuous music across two stages.
the nexus stage covers the darker end of the psy spectrum: forest, darkpsy, hi-tech, and groovy progressive. the engine stage runs techno, psytech, drum and bass, dubstep, and bass-adjacent sounds. alongside the music there is a fire show, yoga, body painting, uv makeup, and a market of independent craft and clothing vendors, with stage visuals handled by video mapping and vj performance.
